Bridgeland will open a gated community with contemporary homes by two custom builders on the largest lots yet in the Cypress community.
Situated in Parkland Village, the first phase of the Sheldon Lake development is designed for 24 houses, The Howard Hughes Corp. announced. Many of the half-acre lots will be on the lake.
Partners in Building and Fedrick and Harris Estate Homes, a division of Newmark Homes, will work with buyers to design their custom homes, which will be priced from about $800,000 to more than $1.2 million.
The first lots will be available this fall with a grand opening planned in summer 2019.
The homes will add a new dimension to the design, lot sizes, and price points in Bridgeland, the Howard Hughes Corp. said. The homes will offer a mix of architectural styles with a contemporary aesthetic.
The enclave's street names will draw inspiration from Texas' Sheldon Lake State Park, historical figures, landmarks and flora and fauna native to the park.
Parkland Village, the second of four planned villages in the 11,400-acre community, opened in March. The new custom homes are the latest offering in the community, which has 20 model homes and 15 builders.
Located near U.S. 290 and the Grand Parkway, Bridgeland opened in 2006.
